Fished Lighthouse off Sandy Hook on Sunday

6:30am - 11:30pm.....found birds working immediately outside the Atlantic Highlands Marina @ low tide - mustly shorts. My son caught one short on a 6" Rapala clear (broken back) minnow. Once that was done proceeded to Lighthouse and drifted whole sandworm on fluke rig for a 30" bass which was promptly photographed and released. Saw pretty much everyone who was trolling hooked on to Stripers. Rubber shad umbrella rigs seem to be the ticket to catching Bass. Unfortunately, we do not own trolling rods & reels and my son got sea-sick as water got more choppy during tide change.
