Went out for the porgy opener w/ a light crowd. I caught 29 keeper porgies and 1 short along with a 29" striper. I kept 20 of the porgies, all of which were 14"-15". I was slightly disappointed with the numbers of fish but very impressed with the size. We didn't have very many fish over 13" in July last year. Fishing was hampered by a very strong current that necessitated 8oz of lead in only 20 feet of water. I think most had 8-10 nice keepers, but then again most were only using 4oz and not holding bottom.
