Can't seem to get off these small fish. There's plenty of them but I can't buy a keeper this season. Atleast I got to brake in my new switch rod. Water temp is down to 50, only a few weeks left, get on 'em

Dude, you need to change locations a bit for bigger fish, about 40 miles S...I've seen fly guys there, but actually for the fly fishing bite I think where you are is the best action unless you bring a spinning setup with ya...

Don't despair, there are a few bigger fish mixed in where you were, just gotta weed out the shad and the baby bass....up

I know, but I was fishing before work. Can't make it down that far and back in time to be at my desk by 9AM. This spot is shut down for dredging now anyway so I'll have to take a day off and head south.

Tiny flies are the only thing that worked. Fished a size 6 sand eel.

It's an 11' Switch rod. It's tough to spey cast in the surf consistently. That's a 600gr sink head on there.
