Early this am at sunrise had a blast following the albies along beach. They were close and chasing bait about 75 yds out. Had them for about an hr walking about 1 mile 1/2. Threw the book at em until i hooked up on the fin-s chart 1/2oz jighead. Metal with fast retrieve didnt do the trick and i got frustrated. Finally tried the fin-s and bam landed 2 fish right at the end of the chase to finally satisfy my long walk and a gazillion casts at them. I will be back at sunrise tonight and tomorrow same spot to see if they come back. Man was that fun, 1st time i ever landed one of those bullets.

Slick, make sure you have a teaser tied about a foot above your main offering, a feather is best and more often than not they will hit that. Deadly dick can be good but over the yrs the 007 has been most reliable with a small spro bucktail a close second. Couple yrs ago out on Romer Shoal I was throwin a huge surface plug at the rockpile and workin it slowly back to the boat for bass and I caught an Albie even though there were no signs of them around. Good Luck, they are fun.

Thx Rich and Foley, yeah i had a tough time getting one to bight, they were right there sometimes 30yds out hitting bait and coming clear out of the water. A sight to see. I dont fly fish if i did im sure i would be on them good. Yeah good idea with those teasers, didnt think of that at the moment, fly fishermen usually have the best success with the Albies so that makes a whole lotta sense. Why didnt i think of that!! Didnt make it out there today this am. I will be back. I dont have a 4x4 permit so its a looooong walk but worth it. Rich knows the deal
