First offshore trip of the year. Heard a lot about the blue fin bite but when I started to run the water was so flat decided to run to the tails. Lines in the water @ 7:30. Fished the east wall first. All was quiet, trolled trolled the deep and headed for the west wall hitting the flyers as we went along. Found hundreds of dolphins cruising, finally a knock down and boated a small yellow.. Trolled that area hard nothing.. Trolled more to the west and temp went up to 72 degrees. Kept hitting the flyers finally double header Mahi, boated both, also caught a blue runner that was 18". Seen a whale shark and a big blue marlin. Headed north trolling up on the flats, rod goes of another small yellow.. Ran home with enough to have a nice meal with some sushi.
