So i have not posted in a while and i feel no one else has either... The bite has been good offshore even though i have not caught yet i have seen a lot of fish boated.. the fish are tuned in on small bait so go small and you will be rewarded. the fluking has been ok by me but have heard different elsewhere the east is having a tough season so far with th eexception of MTK. I am wondering whats going on guys? I think all the social media sites are picking up alot of people and they are not using NE as much. this has been a place where we all go to see where the run is and if we dont participate it will dissolve. Please participate we the community is what keeps NE thriving. PM me if you want details on offshore bite. The bass have made it to fireisland and as of last week people had bass up 47 pounds on live bunker. I am sure a larger fish was culled from the area but thats the largest i have heard of from a person who actually weighs the fish and doesnt call every cow a 40 plus pound fish. I have been bassing for many years and have only a 42pound PB. I have brought friends out and they have beat my PB on their forst bass trip lol. Its a bit of luck when it cmes to catching a cow. There are somethings we can do but at the end of the day you need a little luck to get into the 50 pound club. bent poles for everyone

Disappointed with this place

This used to be the go to site for information, absolutely loved it. My favorite poster was Jillyfish. A few years ago they started letting professional captains post and it has turned into nothing more than free advertising for a few charter boats. It’s pretty boring seeing nothing but pictures of porgies in buckets from the island current and such. If anyone sees this and knows were recreational fishermen post now I would love the information, thanks.

I agree with U 100%. I've been a member of Noreast.com for several years. Looked forward to signing in (actually was automatic) every day. I dont know what happened to this site. Aside from not seeing any familiar posters. The Web site is slow as mud. It's constantly having me change my Pass Word, or locking me out and I Get Warnings from my Security protection that the site is unsafe. And everytime I try to sign in. The site takes me to a page that wants me to prove I not a robot! What's the story here? Roll
