took advantage of a two day window for a overnighter to the east wall all the way down to the hundred square. started trolling at around 4 pm until about a hour after dark for 1 whole mahi. started the drift at the 100 square with about a dozen boats total from the east elbow to were we were. after about a hour there was a hundred 12 ft blue sharks eating my tuna rods to pieces, lol. got so bad after catching those dummies we moved a mile or so in the deep. got even worse porpoises came from every direction and started eating the squid and every other baitfish that we were trying to catch for bait . they stayed all thru the night we never saw or heard of any tuna caught . we started trolling at first light and hooked a big bull dolphin and after two hours of trolling we called it a day. i think this was the most disappointing trip i have ever made to the canyon in october. unless i am mistaken isn't this supposed to be prime time tuna time.unbelievable
