Got through a 3ft break to do some fishing near the top of incoming around the Lighthouse. I could see all the boat traffic out where the action was, but inshore (where I was) I couldn't catch a cold! I was marking some fish, but not the concentrations of bait that would have helped. No hits, no runs, no errors.

Next time.

How is it paddling with and against the tides at the point

Yaked out into the Sound by Orient on outgoing tide. Fish were slapping all over the surface as the sun sank. Drifted a live eel and was rewarded with a 37in bass. Life is beautiful.

"Pedaling," not paddling. Gotta have a Hobie, and it's still a workout. Helps to know where the eddies will form, to lessen the work.
