Just like my love everlasting. Damn I love a Blackfish hit and for sure I love Rhode Island because the hits keep coming so much that by 9:30 Sunday we were done killing Pigs with Jigs. Big shout out to Squirt for the bushel of whites and Captain Eric of the Bounty Hunter for the drop and stick one stop shopping. Greg, I'm sorry you got sea sick but it was pleasure catching your limit for you, ha, ha, ha. Backwater and Leadpot Jigs are the new weapons of choice. Back up on Saturday for more Pigs with Jigs, OHYEAH and I'm out.

Tog are fun!

They battle like bulldogs. Must have been tough catching extra fish for your friend !!!!. I had a similar experience last year for tog. My friend was sick as a dog, but I stayed em all day. Nice when the bite is on. I use a triflex lamiglass that is light and sturdy with a sensitive tip. Single hook rig to avoid snags...hermits work real well.

I agree

Years ago I started fishing for Togs with my Fluke rods and people thought I was crazy, now everyone uses light stuff and save the broomsticks for when they go south to Maryland or Ocean City. my light stuff are G. Loomis GLX medium light action and the Black Hole 701. when I go south I bring out the St. Croix medium heavy to battle the beastly boys down there. The avatar is a beast from southern waters.

Patrick: Looks like you did quite a job on those Blackfish. Nice photo of you & those 2 Togs. With the water Temperatures the way they are now, Tog season has only begun. Have a good rest of the year old friend. Love to Nancy & the Grandkids. GOD BLESS.....

Spinning gear

I also have a Shimano Teramar spinning rod combined with a Shimano Sedona C500 spinning reel but the combination is so light that eight pounders feel like twenty pounders. Fun for short periods but not something I want to do all day.
