Not unusual to get whales in the bay from time to time if the bay is full of bunker...how far from the inlet?

If you have not already you should contact Atlantis Aquarium in Riverhead about this- seems to me that if this whale truly is lost or stuck they would know how best to help. Give them the GPS numbers of where you saw last, etc.

Update on Humpback whale

Spoke to Kim at the Riverhead Foundation Marine. They are keeping a distance eye on her. We are hoping she find her way out to sea without interference. Please do not go out looking for her. She's a little stressed. We are going to keep an eye on her from a distance. If she does not leave the bay we will have to come up with a plan to coax her out.

how is the whale doing? Big tides next few days can either be good or bad.
