Welcome to sponsor Grip Studs, manufacturer of screw-in boot studs that are perfect for Striped Bass fishing.

And now a giveaway from our sponsor...

Secure your footing on slimy weed covered rocks and in heavy surf with Grip Studs™ high performance boot studs. These durable traction studs with their unique wide–auger shank do not bend, back-out or fold over in the sole like other narrow-threaded studs. Grip Studs™ feature a tough, solid tungsten carbide core-to-tip shaft and a rust-resistant finish, making them the perfect stud for rock hoppers! The unique installation notches of the Grip Studs™ design ensure easy installation and removal with the handy power tool. Grip Studs™ surf fishing studs work in almost any rubber or felt sole and are available in both aggressive and standard sizes ensuring compatibility with your boot sole and optimizing traction based on your surf fishing conditions.

We are giving away a model #1800 50 stud kit! Entering the contest is easy! All you have to do is answer the following question:

Have you ever had a serious slip while surfcasting? If so, tell us about it!

All who provide their answer will be entered into the drawing. We will choose one winner on Monday, June 24th. Good luck!

I was 14yrs was on the WE 2 jetty with my dad and he told me we'll walk out 10ft. Points back said dont step on that rock it's slick. I leaned forward touched it felt nothing, step on it and gashed my knee real good. Lets say lesson learned. Roll

LIRI, my old man just took a spill like that in April. He's was hurting bad. I could only image how much that hurt you. surprise

I second Bob's nomination. We all know he needs all the help he can get.

fishing under the house at caswells, had a wave hit me while standing on a rock. it turned me, right foot slipped and left stayed planted. i went down with leg still planted on the rock and felt ligaments tear as i went down. to this day still can't dunk a basketball.(actually, never could)

A few years back fishing the Breezy Point jetty during a storm I was blown off the the jetty by a wave. Wearing a wetsuit I was able to get back to the jetty and as I continued to fish I started to feel some leg pain. When I looked down at my leg I had a good amount of blood pouring out. Chipped the bone with a nice deep gash. Took a few staples to close this one up and put a damper on the rest of my Fall season.

Glen Cove jetti

As the tide came in I took a nice fall climbing over one of the rocks covered with water. Nice scrape on my shin but more importantly the D&G shades I was wearing sank in front of me in slow motion...

Funny part is I got them back after a friend of a friend recovered them somehow after the tide went out and he saw him with them on, lol

Slipped while fishing on the jetty in Montauk. Got pretty busted up and hung to the rocks. Eventually pulled myself up.
