Travelers since approx 2008. Filed a claim once for a tow and dead battery. Had a check back the same week.

ACE Marine obtained through The Mott Insurance Agency.

Replaced my Travelers policy and saved me almost 35%, while increasing to AGREED value, not book, lower deductibles, higher liability AND Haulage! Plus coverage for personal property and equipment.

Travelers denied me haulage for Irene because my boat was under 30' even though my policy jacket had Haulage Coverage on one of the line items. My fault for not reading the exceptions in fine print!

Pulled the boat from Sandy and sent a bill for short haul and relaunch. Policy was written as 50% of haul up to $1000. I asked about storage, They said to submit the bill and they would consider.

They sent me 50% of entire bill including the storage!

Had a very bad experience with GEICO years ago with my car and swore I would never do business with them again.

USAA. Same with my house, and all cars. We are all shareholders and I rarely fail to get a sizeable check every December from my so called Subscribers Savings Account, sort of a rebate. They used to be more exclusive, but have opened up their membership quite a bit and advertise on TV pretty heavily. I would have done my retirement annuities etc. with them but already have a very good financial advisor who specializes in feds.
I recently read on some blog that a few people had some trouble getting reimbursed (by USAA.) That was certainly never my experience in way over 30 years with them, and made me wonder just how sketchy the claimants were. Although my adult sons never wore the uniform, they qualify through me.

Ditto.
I also have had USAA since 1973. I highly recommend them if you qualify for membership.
