Hi guys, I want to stock up for next season and would like your professional opinion on what produces best on the South Shore surf. The SS Minoow or the Yo-Zuri Minnow? Thanks for your input as always it is always very much appreciated!upupup

HUGE fan of the SP Minnow. Did amazing in the spring with them. My go to lure from April to May.

Also looking to pick up some of the SP Minnows. What colors have are the most productive?

True Willy, that has been working well for the last 2 months, especially in the dark. Seems to cull bigger fish from the pack.

SP Minnow. Replace split rings and add vmc's and that is one deadly lure. Price is right too.

Is the issue that the hooks and rings fail???

Both the hooks AND rings are crap. Switch them all out including the ring on the nose.

Would place the sp minnow with or perhaps slightly favored in the class of bomber, redfin and gag's. I find them all very effective. I prefer the redfin for loading. Haven't used in years (and wouldn't use) yozuri's crystal minnow. Having said that, I always carry both sizes of the mag minnow - has thicker profile which will often produce if you know there's bait but the others are not producing. However, Yozuri has d/c'd the mag, so if you find them, buy them.

SP Minnow. The new sinking version is deadly. The sandeel colored plug in the photo below was out of the package about 10 minutes before it was stuck in a fish. They're ridiculously effective lures. And, yes, the stock hardware should be replaced as soon as practical.
