I am a believer that the stocks are way down, more than the latest assessment might suggest, but until the regs are changed people are within their rights to keep bass (within regs) and if they want to post their photos, they are within their rights also. I don't really have a problem with it myself. I mean the fish is dead already so what does it really matter. I am more concerned with how the fishery is regulated.

I agree^^ those pics the surf ams put up of
Every schoolie they catch are ridiculous .
You know the ones with the fish between their
Feet with the diamond jig still in its mouth
What's the point? Do you think no one will
Believe that you caught schoolies ?

Some one catches a fish they are proud of, they want to show it off. Why not? If you don't want to see it, there are plenty of other posts to look at here. I myself only post pictures of what are (for me) exceptional fish. But others like to see fish pictures, even of ordinary fish. I made a comment this summer that I didn't bother to post pictures of the weakfish I had been catching because they were unremarkable. Someone actually asked that I post a picture anyway. People reading this site are into fishing. Within that interest group, we vary in what we want to see. I skip the offshore and Montauk posts, because I don't do that kind of fishing (yet). But I am certainly glad that they are there.
gotta agree with the lame azz pics of a just keeper lying in the sand with a tin and tube sticking out of its' mouth,, yo youse gotta know, I released dat ting.
BANNED FROM POSTING COMMENTS ABOUT REPORTS AND PROUD OF IT!
I would imagine that fish lying between someone's legs with the jig still in it's mouth had just landed and the photo was taken immediately so as not to prolong it's presence out of water. I've seen people fight a fish til exhaustion then rip the lure out of it's mouth brutally and throw it back without any type of resuscitation. That's more irritating than a "quick pick and release" to me.
An apology to my wife: Sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
