Where's a good local spot to fish out of bayshore?

All you sharpie out there,maybe u can give me some info to where is better spot for fluking and bottom fishing I'm just getting tired of the hike to the lighthouse area and with the fuel it's getting to be a chore.are there any areas. To fish for fluke etc.where you don't have to take the bouy route to the lighthouse area cause there's so much traffic with the choppy water and I would like to take my wife with me.shes not crazy about crossing the channel as its always choppy near the can buoys.I come out of bayshore marina near 'Nicky's restaraunt
