Can anyone help ID this deep water fish?

We believe its a Toro Snapper but not certain. Please help ID.

did u catch it while u where on a viking deep sea trip?

We caught it Tuesday on the Viking Starship Deep Water trip. Mate said it was a Toro Snapper.

Toro or bigeye snapper for sure i have caught a couple in florida all in well over 200 ft of water

Fish Species

To answer your question, that fish is called an "Imperador",Beryx decadactylus...also known as the Alfonsino, Longfinned Beryx, or the Red Bream. It inhabits deep water wrecks. Hope that helps! Smile
