I am a novice at both my camera and rod building, but I thought it would be cool to see everyones work. I am going to start it off, but I am warning you the pictures might not of come out well. If they didn't I will delete.

As you can see, I need alot of help with the camera. I tried. I do have another camera that I know will work better, I haven't had a chance to read the instructions yet.

These are some of the first wraps I did. So what do you think for a beginner?

Hi,

Way to go!!!!!!!! Nice touch with the fish.

Have you heard of RodCrafters Associates? This is an organization that has been around over 25 years. It is National and lately becoming International with members from England and some other countries. It's purpose is to promote rod crafting/building. We have Seminars around the country and a National in Allentown, Pa usually in the spring. I think you would enjoy it immensely. It is over a weekend and the children interested in building rods are also invited with their parents.
We also have a Journal the comes out 4 times a year.

Are you aware of the RodMaker Magazine?
It is published 6 times a year and is excellent. Always interesting articles. The publisher also has the web site www.rodbuilding.org. An excellent place to visit.

www.stripersonline.com has a Rod Building Forum you can visit.

Beware!!!! I have to point out that rod building can interfere with your fishing. Both can be addictive. Lol!!!!

Onemoredrift,

Many digital cameras have a setting called "macro" that is for taking very close up shots of items. It focuses closer and softens the flash for better close up shots.
