I know theres a few of you out there. I havent smoked in a while but Im going to get back into it this year.Caught a few Pogiesss on the CQ the other day and HuntnFish donated a few to the smoking cause. I smoked poggies a few yrs back and loved them so I wanted to do it again.

Nothing fancy your basic salt sugar brine in my Little Cheif brined them up today for about 6hrs then into the smoker. Gonna smoke them thru 3 pans of chips then maybe 2 hrs more smoke free.

First pic my Little Cheif 2nd the poggiess after about 2 hrs.........

So lets see/hear about your smoking pics

Never used an electric smoker, don't think I've ever seen one close up. Toungue

I get mine doin < 200 to begin and finnish off at 200. Seasoning to taste.

Check out Jack Daniel's chips. They make them from used aging barrels. Bit pricey, hard to find sometimes, but VERY tastey.

I burn apple (or any fruit wood I come across) and some cherry logs. Hichory or oak. Most important, NO Bark on the wood. Finger

Ohhh... It's Killin' Me !
