Hi party boat anglers,

We are a group of 7 friends who fish together all around Long Island, when we can get together. Most of us are supposedly retired??? The other has off on Mondays. We have decided to get together on the CQ on Monday AM trips when we can. Nothing formal!

Making a post here will enable you to get new posts. This way you can stay abreast to see what is happening.

When we will be going to the CQ I will make a post for all to see. This way you can post if you will be headed to the CQ also. No rules, no regulations, just a few anglers getting together to share a few hours aboard a fine fishing vessel.

Two weeks from tomorrow will probably be the first Monday that we will go.

Please feel free to join us. No strings.

2011, a new year and new plans for us. We will be sailing on different pb's on Mondays. We love our fluke fishing so we will follow the fluke all around Long Island waters. First trips out to Orient Point and the Fishy Business. Them into the Sound and so forth as the season moves on.

Monday fishing group

It is a great idea Neil, I'm glad you though of it up. I recall fishing the Capt.Lou Fleet often as a kid, IIRC there was a group of retired guys that had a Monday Fishing Club on that boat. Mostly nice guys, they used to look out for this wide-eyed kid who was short on experience but long on enthusiasm for fishing Smile.

June 7 sounds good for me as of now, too. It's the last day of a vacation week for me, there's no better way I'd rather spend it Shades!

Tonight on CQ

Hi,

7 of us fished the CQ for porgys this evening. I needed a trip on the water to shed some tensions. This trip was just what I needed. Sunny, cool breeze and calm waters, good company and wonderful fighting porgys, big ones! We all have very good dinners tomorrow. Thanks Capt Desi and Chris.

I need a porgy catching fix. If I finish up rod building in time I will join the anglers on the CQ.

Lots of porgys!

Nice trip this evening! I kept 10 porgys and a sea bass. We caught them on the anchor and then on the drift.

Am very glad I brought a warm jacket.

Nice fluke and hugh porgys!

A couple of 6+, a 7.5 and a 8.5 topped the list of keeper fluke. none belonged to me, ha, ha.

Capt Desi stopped for a quick porgy bite. Tom had 3.4# and I had a 3.3, HUGH!!!

OOOPPPSSSS!!! Just looked at the family calendar and I will be sitting in the dentist chair next Monday morning, OUCH!
