I was out trolling for stripers yesterday (6/5) just south of rye and noticed that the water was extremely cloudy and almost had a reddish color to it. This was the first day with almost no action and think that this might be the reason. The water seemed to clear as I returned to the Byram River. Could this be a red tide or is it due to run off? Did anyone else notice this cloudy water and will this affect the fishing in the area?
