drive 10 min further and hop on the Island Current out of city island. they have been doing well and they are a top notch group. Look at their reports here or just call capt chris. website is islandcurrent.com. Good luck

I would think they will target flounder until the fluke start in that area.

I am "Jonesing" to go out on one of the boats. I have not been on either the SnowGoose2, or the Klondike IX. Both look promising.I've posted about the SnowGoose2 on here and got some very positive replies.
Has anybody been out on the Klondike IX?
Thanks,

The Klondike is an excellent boat with a top notch crew. they are starting this weekend and primarily jig for bluefish and striped bass. Not sure if they will target flounder.

The Island Current group actually sails for flounder almost every day vs these other boats with mysterious schedules or that target fish other than flounder. On the other hand, they dont target blues, something the Klondike excels at or fluke which the Snow Goose does. Unless you charter.

Don't forget the new "Sound Bound" out of New Ro. Capt Brendan knows his stuff.

Capt. Brendan

FYI... Capt. Brendan was never fired from ic fleet. Great capt who goes above and beyond. He can skillfully run any of 5 vessels. I wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors. Keep u the great work Brendan!!!!

Jayman been on the site since march of 09 and this is your first post?!?!? jealous competition....maybe???? I have worked/fished with Capt. Brendan for the the past 6 or 7 years and he does a great job. Fishing is fishing and even the best capts have a bad day but you will be hard pressed looking for a capt that tries harder than Brendan. And yes there are other boats around in the western sound, I said the IC because i think they are top notch, a guy who started with a 40 ft lobster boat and turned it into a fleet of 5 beautiful party boats is obviously doing something right, and after working deck on all of the IC boats in the past I have seen the skill of all their capts. the get the job done and Brendan in no exception, and he will continue to do well with the new boat.

B you are doing something right, had the boat for a few months and you are already driving the other guys nuts. You will be fine and i am sure there are going to be some more jealous capts/mates from other boats making plenty of comments like this. Stay at it, and keep catching them up
