Hi Guys, I'm Brand New to Noreast.com. I'm the guy who has all the old party boats photos and facts. Anything you are looking for or want to know about that old Party Boat you fished "back in the Day". I'm ready to try and help spark those old memories.
Okay, this is what I have on the "RIP". She was built in 1939 at Camden, NJ as the "NAMANI", she sailed half day (4 hrs.) from Wildwood, NJ and was skipper by Captain George Shober, and his wife Molly worked the deck on most days. She has since been dismantled.

hi and welcome to the site thenagainfishin,
there are quite a few folks here who like reminiscing about the older pboats. i havent been fishing as long as most here, but my fave boat is the Jet out of sheepshead bay, and from what ive heard and read the boat has a history behind it. got any info on the jet for this young old salt?

any pictures of the Atomic or cheif, what about the Victory?what was the captain of the atomic, i think it was Sparky anderson. did many trips with my father on those 3 boats in the 60's and 70's. we fished with tred Abrams in Montauck after he left Sheepshead bay.
I am not sure who had it built but, I do know that she is a Price built boat and that the second owner, Wayne Westerlind rafted her up at Captree and sailed with her for a number of yrs. before ole Billy Doll took over
How about this one? Fished and worked on it in mid to late 60's - great codfishing on Coxes ledge in those days. Even right outside of Pt. Judith in the winter!
With all those great pics and data there has to be a soft cover book in your future. I would think such a work covering our area or the northeast including the newer boats and a chapter on the companies who built these vessels would be hotly received.
