I recently bought a 25' Sea Ray and I want to buy a decent depth/fishfinder.

I am a novice boat owner so something that is fairly easy to install as well as use is what I am looking for however there are 100's of models to choose from. Confused

I'd like to stay under 300.00 if possible.

Can anyone recommend one?

Thank you in advance. Smile

depth/fishfinder

Hey Smasher i just picked up a humminbirg 596c hd si through their website. Easy install, took me anout 1 hour with running all lines and mounting the stern mount ducer.

Great color clear and pretty spot on. You can mount a shoot thru hull ducer for a cleaner look.

I paid $369 shipped if i recall.

hope this helps

wow your 8th post and acting like a child because nobody answered your question in the first 24 hours. All you had to do was use the search feature located at the top of the pagre and get dozens of different threads on the exact thing you wanted. RollRollRollRoll

But I guess we should all just keep repeating ourselves and do all the work. Do you want me to give you some hot spots to fish also???RollRollRoll

They are all easy to use these days.
They are all reliable these days.
Affordable is relative.

Garmin has a great reputation. Their touch screen model is very easy to use, very popular. Go visit a West Marine and you can play with some units and choose what you like best.

What are you like 12 years old? Mommy the man on the internet didn't tell me what I wanted. WAAAAAAA
I think I gave you the best advice. Use the search feature and do your own research. You would be surprised at the information that is here on the boards. THere are more things than just affordability and reliability. What depth are you going to be fishing in where would you bring it for warrantee repair, through hull or transom mount transducer etc... But clearly you would not know that since you are too lazy to actually do your own research.

These are the PM's I recieved from you. The funny part is that I just lead you to an avenue for you to actually help yourself. Your response was to threaten me with bodily harm just because I didnt answer your question. WAAAAAAAAA Well tough guy if you feel that doing bodily harm is the appropriate response then I guess that is what you have to do. But I gave up saying things like that if someone didn't agree with me when I was like 12 so if you are 12 (or on steroids going by your screen name and built up anger) then I guess you have to do what you have to do.

Pathetic or just roid rage? Which one Smasher? I would say the same thing to your face also. What I wouldnt do is make threats if you don't agree with me.

Please tell me where you fish because I don't want to run into you alone on a cold dark night....LOLToungueToungueToungue

Smasher's tag line is,

"If you have nothing positive to add to a conversation then STFU."

He should follow his own advice. His PM's to filo1 should get him banned.

Wow.

Not my board, so I'll hang back on this one, but if it were the IT&T board, the offending party would be gone, gone, gone . . .
