Yea whats new? That POS is blind he will sign anything to get more $$.On a trailer I know they all expire at the end of year but dont they pro rate the charge if you renew later in the year?In other words why renew in the winter if your not going to use it till spring?I will wait any how just so they dont get my $$ any sooner than I have to give it and I will be doing the same with all fishing license just to send a message as we all should do.Really

Yea, I was pissed too when I got that letter a couple weeks ago. I have three trailers, one for the jon boat I use all year, another for a utility trailer I use all year. And I third I haven't used in a while. Each one's more than tripled. So I'll have one less on the road, but still am pissed about paying so much. Between this, the MTA tax, and the new plates, I will vote anyone into that would run on that platform alone. I'm tired of being screwed by the state, and even worse for those of us living on Long Island.

that's great, i thought mine was a mistake, it's always been $21.50 and now it's 52. the trailer goes 3 miles in the spring and 3 in the fall round trip. probably cheaper to take the ticket for those big trailers that do the twice a year thing but that probably went up too.

Mine is 85 for the same thing. How do they figure that? But they do pro rate it so if you dont use your trailers dont renew till spring.

I got mine in the mail yesterday and almost ripped it in half, no idea why it went up so much and hadn't heard anything, then today I see this post, so I guess the reason is just that NYS is a bunch of Aholes.

I use my trailer the same as most of you, twice a year, when it goes and when it comes out. I really have no need for the regi to begin with, since the trailer barely gets used, but I always tried to do the right thing and always got it registered anyway.

Now you turn around and they just nail you to get more money for them to waste on their mismanaged programs or to pay for some more Section 8 housing.

I'M DONE!!! No more regi for my trailer, DONE!! My truck I guess I have no choice, but the trailer will be illegal from now on. If a cop happens to see me on one of those two times it leaves the side of the house, so be it, but NYS can SHOVE IT!!!

New York always gets there money one way or another. I registered 2 trailers here for life. One for the ATV 8X10 the other for the boat 24ft. The ATV trailer was new so I had to pay sales tax on it total cost, taxes and life time registration $150. Screw NY down Im so glad I got the flock out of there when I did.
