Jason,

You know who's running that boat down south? None other than blood and guts himself...

Spoke to kevin when he first sold the boat and he said that he has no plans on buying another boat. He said that he'll captain the new sunshine a few days a week and also captain another party boat down in NJ a couple days a week also. He said he might lease a friends boat and bring it to brooklyn but thats still up in the air. What a loss this is for the fisherman/woman of brooklyn. I have alot of great memories on that boat. As for the mates ralph and dennis well ralph is on the sea queen and dennis is on the brooklyn. Great guys them two.

Really is a shame.Kevins family has been running party boats out of SB for generations.Kevin is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet anywhere.I think he just couldn't put up with the more & more restrictive regs.Especially difficult on a 1/2 day boat whose main quarry is fluke.

Ugh!It's Monday again. How does this keep happening?

There's another new Sunshine in SHB? It's there now?

Dorothy B was looking to break out of SHB for a while now. He was trying to set up in the North Fork and I hear that the partyboats capts out there used their influence to discourage it. Dorothy B used to cater to more of a family crowd, which has not existed in SHB for at least a decade. I am surprised that this did not happen sooner.

Great Fishing family

While I made my 1st fishing trip aboad the old Jet I spent many days fishing aboard the DB. My parents would drop me off in the am pay my fare and go ,both were subject to sever seasickness. The Db crew would take charge and at the end of the day I would be retrieved. Not something that would be done in todays world but fairly common back in those days .

The Bradshaw clan ran a class operation through the years and will be missed in SHB

New Sunshine

Nah Shes not in yet but due soon . I was at the prop shop the other day and they had Joes wheels in on pallets and they each took up the whole of the pallet . I would imagine her to be in by late spring or early summer .

Nail on the head in one. First class operation ALL the way. Nice boats, good mates, expert captains. If more people were like the Bradshaws, SHB wouldn't have the reputation it does.
