I bought a lure at an antique shop, this struck my interest because the hook is screwed into a loop at the rear, and the entire lure is made of plastic or some other really hard see through material. when i bought it i asked the cashier what kind of lure it was, he didn't know so now i'm determined to find out what brand of lure this is, because i think i will use it for the bluefish next year, but i just wanna know.

I don't want no mates, there's just too many captains on this island. $10,000 for me by myself. For that you get the head, the tail, the whole damn thing.

Got me, but that looks like a real crappy hook. I suggest change it if you want to play with blues, looks like a fluke hook.

Its a Carlisle style hook, non-stainless, so it has a little corrosion. It will work just fine on that lure for whatever bites it.

So if a 883lb Bluefin bites it the hook will hold?

Most likely. Shades But the question was will it hold on a bluefish, not a bluefin. Shades
