It's time to change my name here. Got rid of the beachbuggy and driving a car Roll. Not going to stop me from surfcasting. I have a surf fishing cart that fits in the trunk and legs to walk the beach. What I need is a good car rack for my poles. I used a ski rack on the jeep but that mounted to the roof rack on the vehicle any suggestions?Smile

You looking for a rack like this, right?
Thule makes these and apparently are great.

I think the problem is that he is driving a car that doesn't have ANYTHING on the roof to attach to. There might be something commercially available that clamps to the water runners over the windows of a car.Confused

Yeah I don't know if you can see in the first picture there's a rail that has flat hooks that attach to the car. Then you attach the rack or basket (for whoever needs either or) WinkWink

We did this with my cousins Volkswagen Jetta but he uses it for skis lol

Thule or Proline (formerly Barrecrafter) make excellent car racks. Thule can be a little on the expensive side because each piece is sold separately. There are different side attachments for different model cars which are sold separately from the rack. Then you have to buy what you want to put on the rack, in your case a ski rack. It adds up in price.

There are two types that may help.

There are magnetic and a suction cup type that I used to use. They worked surprisingly well. Search vacmount.

Not sure who makes the magnetic type but I'm sure you can just google it.
