SPWR is still down from 100 I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole.
GM is still down 10% from where it IPOd and the only reason it's up recently is because the government sold a big chunk of it's stake at a huge loss. I wouldn't touch it either.
I pitched this stock at just under $100 back in the start of 2007...it's currently sitting at 545.00 with a 52wk high of $705. I made a lot of money back in the day with this. Thanks to the iPhone it's what made this company stock take off.
In Apple We Trust. Instagram name: fishinguy81 look me up and follow. Is there anything better then fishing? DOUBT IT!
GRA (W.R. Grace). I've been in & out of it for over 10 years. Originally purchased back in 2002 for $3 it's now at $70. Company is in bankruptcy & has been throughout all these years. It's a strong company with good earnings, it's only under bankruptcy protection because of asbestos litigation. A settlement has already been agreed to & factored into it's price.

Splits mean nothing, Its the overall gain on investment that matters.
Splits mean NOTHING? Seriously? Okay. How about this stock has CONTINUOUSLY paid high dividends throughout the last FIFTY yrs! Are we getting better yet? How about after each 2 for 1 split, KO routinely rose back to the price before split in EVERY occurrence? So how's that gain on investment looking now?
Just kidding with ya MM. CocaCola has been an OUTSTANDING performer for the last fifty years. And if I was smart enough to put all those dividends (which I was not) back into their reinvestment program I would be a millionaire!

I think Warren Buffet agrees with you. He has held a substantial amount of KO stock for decades.
The markets gonna get whacked again this year...then the good...the bad...and the ugly all get dumped Commodities may be a better bet. Stick to short term long/short on stocks in overbought/oversold situations.
Estee Lauder (symbol EL) - maybe a little late - it is trading near its 52 week high but has been one stock never to disappoint over the long run & has split twice......
