NYU hawk

I caught a good shot of the NYU hawk today while walking my dog in Wash. Sq. Park. Thought i would share. Look closley he has a squirrel in his claw.

I haven't seen my backyard yawks in a few weeks... come back and remove the new liter of kittens that are roaming around!!!Mad

Awesome. looks like it's acclimated to people and cars and stuff. hopefully nobody hurts it.

I think its safe. This is what happend shortly after i snapped the first shot. I had to duck, then into the trees he went.

It is a redtail hawk. You can go to nyuhawk.com and see a web cam of the nest. from what i understand there are two eggs. The nest is on the leadge of the university presidents office,in bost library.
