So I wasn't sure where to post this so I figured I would try here. I have a 2001 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo and went out to start it today to do some surf fishing and boy was I let down... All it would do is crank I checked the fuel pump I could here it turn on when I would cycle the key. I also tried beating on the fuel filter to no prevail. I have tried to google the problem and found a whole list of people that has had the same problem that were talking about it but with no real answer im still clueless. So I was just wandering if there is anyone that has had the same problem if so how was it fixed. Also if anyone knows of a mechanic/home mechanic that would be willing to do a home visit for reasonable price please let me know. Thanks in advance I don't know how long I can go without getting a line wet!

Don't installl a aftermarket sensor or your check engine lite will never go out. Buy it from jeep, and it's only abupout a half hour repair

I drive a jeep, but CHEVY is in my blood. libba # 1742, Striped Bass Coop.

Yea I like the jeep its nice for what I paid for it I also had to replace my battery this year. From what I read online this is a frequent problem with jeeps. But best of luck to ya because after and hour of nagging the ole lady to let me go and then I load everything up only for the jeep not to start was a bummer! down

Don't buy a new one. My S-I-L is on his second 2013 Grand Cherokee, the dealer finally replaced the one he bought a couple of months ago. They never did figure out what was wrong with that one. Now the new one has problems, if he can get out of this one he's going to buy an Acadia.

I had a 1996 jeep Cherokee, nothing but problems from day one. I would never buy one again.
