These are the standings, not sure if they're official. 17.88lbs looks to be the top fish, angler behind the fish is no stranger to the tournament up

It could be one or two boat that got on a school of large fish.
As matter of fact you can see that *1st and fourth both have the same last names.

*1st and the 5th not the 4th.

Whats curious is that the winner had already had a 16.5 pounder. Went out a got a bigger one..talk about dialed in. I fished my traditional spots and had nothing over 7 pounds, and barely a bite. These guys are in the money every year for 4 years..Have to be putting in some serious time. I enjoy the Oyster Bay tournament a lot more, Usually a better bite by then anyway.

Many names are the same year in and year out. Each one of those shops has really good anglers. I find it diapointing that they don't push the tournament harder in the eastern sound. It really is a western sound tournament.

....3 of the top 5 fish where caught on the same boat, plus another 16.33lber that was weighed before 4 am the first night by the eventual winner that he bested himself with another just below 18 later on Saturday!

I hate being sour grapes, and love the notion of sharpies and honey holes, but wow! Its been a mediocre bluefish year in the Sound, then this boat hangs these abnormally large fish?? Look at the top fish and port prize weights at the surrounding shops, Jacks, Duffy's, Hudson, etc. Weights and numbers are down. Then check out the reports of the Blues that are getting jigged in the OCEAN. Big Blues, readily available in the ocean right now. I'm just sayin....

Believe me, I hope its legit, because it gives me something strive for. He and his relatives have been a staple on that leader board for a long time. But the numbers just don't add up.

The 3rd place guy fishes with the 1st and 5th. Look at the weigh in times, and I confirmed it with the tackle shop. I'm unsure about 2nd place, but he too has a similar history of placing and weighing near the winner. Either way, 1st, 3rd, and 5th, are from the same boat, plus another 16 that he bested. Jacks port prize didn't even break 12 this year!

The blue weighed in at Jacks was 4th place and only .01 lb off the 3rd place, and only 2 lbs off the 1st place.

Looking at the weigh in times of the 1st 2nd 3rd and 5th, looks like they fished both days, day and night.

1st, 3rd, and 5th were all broght in 5pm sat and the 2nd place fish brought in Sunday, 6:30pm ish.
