Entree, Tuna
Asian Grilled Tuna Servings:
Estimated cooking time: 5-15 mins Posted By: atunahead

I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT AMOUNTS FOR THIS RECIPIE. I CAN ONLY SAY GO EASY ON THE SESAME OIL SINCE IT IS STRONG AND CAN OVERPOWER THE OTHER INGREEDIENTS. I usually use 2-3 tablespoons of oil for a medium bottle of soy.

In a bowl combine fresh ginger, garlic, sesame oil, pepper, and soy sauce. Stir until mixed well. Add Tuna steaks and let marinate for about 1 hour, much longer and the acids in the soy sauce may start to "cook" the tuna. If tuna is not covered by the marinade, flip steaks every so often to ensure even flavor. Preheat BBQ or grilling pan. Cook tuna to your perference. I enjoy it much more if only the outer 1/8th inch is cooked and the inner meat is still rare. If you enjoy your food on the spicier side, add the crushed red pepper to the marinade.

This can be served immediately with rice and a fresh veggie or salad. Or can be chilled and tossed with baby salad greens or a spring mix for a nice light summer time meal. If going the salad route, I would reccomend an asian influenced dressing.
