Captain Greg from the Black Hawk reports that without a doubt, unquestioned, this was THE week, the prime porgy fishing bonanza week. Professionals and novices alike, children of all ages- everyone slammed 'em this week, most people easily getting their 45 fish limit. Jumbo, plate sized porgies, with a good mixture of black sea bass. If you're looking to fill your freezers, now's the time.

We went out on our own, and found porgy paradise. Not too much competition at the porgy paradise, making it easy for everyone to get their fill. If they were ever going to eat the bottom out of the boat, this was the week. There's no question about it that using fresh sea clams attracted the motherload like a flock of seagulls to a bag of popcorn. Simply phenomenal fishing.
