With some peanut bunker and squid, I fished in 60 feet of water due south if F.I. inlet. My 12 yr old son and his buddy came along for some fishing fun as well. First drop the reel started screaming. The line came toward the surface to quickly to be a fluke. I thought I had a huge blue but when that 5 foot Thresher jumped about 5 feet in the air, I was a bit surprised to say the least. I had a med.action St. Croix rod, Shimano calcutta spooled with 40 lb braid and a store bought Fluke rig with a 4/0 Gamakatsu hook on a mono leader. Got the fish to the boat in about half hour after he took numerous leaps in the air. Cut the leader and let him swim off.

That was fun. The boys were jumping out out their shoes when they saw the fish.

This year I had a nice shark on the line for about 20 minutes as well. I also saw about a 5 foot make sunning itself but could not get it to take any bait.
