Fished the inlet for about an hour tonight--about 12 blues 1-3lbs, 3 oz crocodile lure did the trick--seemed like just about every cast. Just about all other anglers were bringing them in just as fast.

Hey CaptJack! I was there 5:30 to 6:30. I was the dude in the yellow slicker that was fishing the rip just inside the inlet. I was watching all you guys killing the cocktails on the beach side of the jetty. If you wondered why I didn't switch over to that side and get into the action, I was trying to work out the kinks of the rig I was working and I only came down tonight for that purpose and didn't want to mess with the cocktails too much. I did land a 5# blue in the process and had one hell of a run off that left my drag screaming. My guess it was a big blue but I lost the fish after about a minute or so. Anyway, I think I figured out the problem and left you guys while you were still catching. Looked like everyone was having a good time. If you think you know who I am, next time say hello. Tight lines, Vic.

Vic, It was your reports that let me know there were blues at the Inlet! I got there about 7:20, was closest to the beach, casting towards the beach side of the wall. After 5 minutes and no fish(perhaps too close to shore), started casting on the Inlet side and from then on it was almost a fish for every cast.
