Took a ride out to the reef today to try some bottom fishing. It was very foggy in the AM but not that hot.

The sea bass fishing on the other was very hot. A lot of 12-14 inch fish were safely returned but there were enough jumbos to make it interesting. Had a few jumbos pushing the 5 lb mark. We also had porgies in the mix as well.

The DEC was out checking boats and it seemed everyone was obeying the regulations because they quickly moved on.

Fresh skimmers and moving around helped in locating the big ones.

Happy 4th to all.

Congratulation Dylan. Nice biscuits. Must have been fun if you got that on spinning tackle. Catch them up, CIAO, John.
