Hey all. I just wanted to update everyone. Got out this morning after I got the kids on the bus. Got some bait and was heading to the spot I posted about the last 2 times.

I got to the spot at 11:30am. Only about 30 minutes before dead high water. The fish were a bit more spread out today but still in the same general area. Water depth was 18'-30'. Wind was stiff out of the SSW. All in all, I finished the day with another fluke limit and headed back to the slip at around 2:15pm.

Days tally: 4 keeper fluke, 15 short fluke and 5 robins.

2 of the keeper fluke spit up whole mantis shrimp in my live well. I hope that give you guys some ideas!!! All fish but one short were on a bucktail/spearing combo.

Another great day on the water. Tight lines everyone. Until next time!

Just a heads up. On a close fish of 19” keep the mouths shut when measuring because that’s how the dec does it. What might be 19 to u could be 18 or so to them.

Heya basskin I always measure the fish with the mouth completely closed. The smallest keeper there was 19.5" mouth closed laying on top of the ruler. I wont keep a fish that's right on the 19" mark just so there wont be an issue should DEC or Coast Guard board and measure them. But thanks for the heads up. That's good information for all.

Tight lines.
