The bite has slowed down considerably in N. Westchester past week or two...as expected this time in May. Now, unless you follow them upstate, you really have to put the time in to find them. Best to use two poles- one with herring, one with bloods. Saw an nice 34 incher caught on Saturday in the area on cut herring.

Caught the top of the incoming and 2 hours of the outgoing Monday for one missed hit. Only saw two 15 inchers caught all morning. First skunk for me in a long time.

Will try a few more times and that's probably it I hate to say. Will post results.

worst spring run i can remember in the last 35 years
i pulled the plug on the river two weeks ago , eels and cats are a waste of time and bait i
got the boat out in the hamptons already for the season
loaded up the last two weekends on peconic gold
jumbo jumbo pork chops
