I fished on the Viking Star for Cod fish trip 2/10/18. It was a tough day despite the capt's ongoing effort with numerous drops and the professional crew's attempts to make the best of it for their fares.

I packed up the truck at the end of the day {coolers, bags, etc] but by mistake left my rods/reels propped up against the fence in the parking lot near my truck.

I didn't realize it until I got home, a 3 hour drive back to Staten Island. I called the office and Jill told me the rods/reels [ $600+ of equipment] were found and they had them in their office now.

I felt very lucky. I was happy that the crew and staff of the Viking Fleet were so honest and professional and took care of me so well! That's another reason why I've fished with them for such a long time...Again, thanks to all who found & secured my fishing gear !

The Viking crews have been stand up people though out the years that me and the boys have been codfishing with them. It's always nice to know that there are still good guys left with all the bad @%#* that happens lately.

My biggest fear is that when i die my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said i paid for it.
