Hello all, haven't posted in a while. Well since our boat 4 Da Kidz is taking it's winter nap I decided to take it to the beach today. Far Rockaway beach that is. No option on here to put my location so I put CSS, anyways got bored of sitting home with such beautiful weather so I took a short two minuite drive to the beach in Far Rockaway and saw the guys loading up on herrings and mackerels. Turned around and went home to get my rod to join them. Got back and started picking away at them and caught some nice herrings and one mackerel, all that's in pic took only 10 mins to catch. Had a blast catching fish and watching the seal swimming around in the inlet. Did see a striper blitz start up until a few boats pulled up and it died out. Guys there before me had buckets of herring and one guy had about 30 huge mackerels and I got there at exactly 12 noon so will be back at it tomorrow again this time a little early lol. Ok guys attached is a pic of fish and one of our 2017 in review YouTube videos please check it out ans we'd appreciate your support. Thank you all very much and until tomorrow, tight lines.
Sport burning not "illegal" except in the Surf Fishing Forum where by popular acclamation it is frowned upon. If someone cares to fish the next day with 1000 of his "closest friends," then it's their call. Methinks many of the whiners are armchair fisherman anyway...
I excised the petty whining and am locking.
And for those of you interested in a no-miss striper spot in the summer, fish here on the top of incoming tide with live mackerel...
