Couldn't resist the temptation of one more outing! Made it down the Long Beach area around sunrise and was greeted by a calm surfline, and acres of birds a few hundred yards out. That went on pretty much as far as the eye could see. Made it out there and put on a small diamond jig, it was game on! Bass a cast for the next 45 minutes, however the average size was small and smaller. Left the top to bottom blitzing in search of large.

Went a little deeper and put out the bigger stuff on conventional. West to east troll on 8x4 mojo rig. Located a school of herring with bass on them and the rest was pretty epic. 6 for 6 on large, all released to fight another day! Been a great first season on the kayak, if anyone is on the fence about getting into the game, just do it! Having trouble uploading video/pics, i'll just upload some snaps below.

Smart kayak

Glad you got out and back safe.
By the images you are not the guy I am commenting on. You have a yellow high flyer to alert the boaters. There were 2 other kayaks out of Jones inlet past the sea buoy with little in the arena of "look at me I'm here" flags. Dark clothes too. We thought at one time the Star Steam was going to run him over. Be mindful, pass the word to be safe.
Must be a blast to hook up on a yak though.

Tight lines and calm seas.

Leaving the shorties to search for large on a yak .......then dragging 3/4 of a pound of mojos to close the deal .....on a yak? Well done !!! Gives me hope that some better fish might hit the sand,

Hats off to you.
