Sunday late afternoon. Fish within ten feet of shore. Bluefish were very particular. I insisted on surface lures and did manage 5 fish (4 blues, 1 striper) that were all about 3 pounds. If the fish were looking for what I was throwing I could have caught 100! One fly-guy said they were hitting really small lures. It was quite a sight to see. Seemed ridiculous trying to catch them 10 feet from shore just to throw them back. Caught the striper casting away from the boiling school.
