I was hoping for a repeat of yesterday so I went down to the beach to launch at 5:50. It was a low tide and the bunker were being pushed up to the beach by something so I decide to cast from the shore. I got a hit, but they were heading out. I jumped in the kayak and got into the mini blitz quick and within a few seconds it was fish on. I landed a nice fat 34 inch bass which I released. I then chased after the moving bass blitz and snagged a bunker. I kept the bunker on the lure and slowly pulled him in and watched a huge bass sniff the bunker and pull away almost like it knew that it was too good to be true.

After I scored a small 24 inch bass, I stopped chasing the blitz and headed to my rock. I had a nice hit and splash by the rock but no hook up which was good because I had to get in to go to work.

Great morning before the storms and why does the best fishing days have to be the days I have to work. Oh well.

I launch from Friendship and I go out at sunrise pretty much every morning. I could show you some spots if you want to meet up one morning.

I tried for the trifecta today, but I got roughed up by some pretty big waves. That's why it's called fishing

This report made me smile. I spent every summer as a kid back in the 60's and 70's out on those Rocky Point beaches, and went out on weekends well into my adulthood! My Sister only sold the old Family place 10 or 15 years ago.

We spent most of our time at Queen Rd Beach in between Friendship and Broadway. Hoofed it up and down those 156 stairs every single day to go to the beach and every night to fish or bonfire.

I've got great memories from those beaches, thanks! up
