went to RM before sunrise, i think every surfcaster in ny/li area had the same idea.i only saw couple shorts caught and for some reason looked kind of thin.gave it a couple hrs then shot over to JB/west end there were only a couple of guys there and the water was kind of flat.no fish but a nice day

The key is the water condition, tide & wind. Rough seas all last week made a sick heave combined with white water. That's the difference...

No bait being tossed around (heave)+ no oxygen(foam) = no blitzes.

It's becomes a different style of surfcasting using other techniques, bait and times to fish. You just can't go down and throw tins waiting for a hook up. Anyway, that's what I was thinking.....Mark M
