Report location New York > North Shore > Someone lost a rod and reel
Fishing method Boat
« Previous Report Next Report »

I found a rod and reel floating and upon retrieve found a fish hooked to it. Thanks for the free fight.

If you lost a rod and reel in the sound, PM me with the rod and reel and rig description and it's yours.

The set up looked to be brand new or rarely used. I don't think it was lost for too long. When I got home I took the time to strip the reel down and fresh water wash it down and re grease it.
