Better ask for a few surf fishing books for Christmas, cause starting out with a 23 lb. fish your hooked for life, and need to learn as fast as you can Wink

You mean HER sister. From research it would appear that fish over 40 inches are 11-12 years old and they're all females. Males don't live that long.

Memory for a life time!!! Great to see the young ones land a nice fish. I enjoy nothing more than watching my son set the hook on a fish. His biggest bass to date is a 35lbr caught in the Race on a boat when he was 15, and a 25lbr in the surf at 16 (also on a chunk). Now at 20 years old he still loves to fish with me. Life is good when you are fishing with your kids.
