Went out around 12:30 with my buddy Casey from the Island Princess (on his day off) and fluked the state channel for a couple of hours. 5-6 short fluke on bucktail and squid spearing combos. Biggest topped off at 20 inches.
The wind and tide fought each other so bad it made for a slow and strange drift to say the least.
The coast guard was up and down the channel the whole time we were out there.
Got back to the dock (Lindenhurst) and it was sunny and almost no wind at all....just can't figure it out
