High tide was 1:30. I got out to the beach at about 2:30 or so. Water was clear, wind out of the west maybe 5 mph. I did alot of walking and casting. I left the bag in the car so I was 15 pounds lighter (thanks again Martin). Just a bucktail pouch with a few tins and a few Bucks with pork rinds on my belt.

Once the water started moving is when the fish moved in. It was about a half hour earlier than normal. My guess is due to the moon and not much wind.

I had on a bucktail that was normally heavy enough for that spot but it kept dragging as it passed over the bar. I put on a lighter one so it stayed in the middle or lower half of the water column. I guess it was just makking it over the bar at this point. That was where the fish were hanging out and I put it in their line of sight.

Eight fish from low 20" to about 26" . Nothing to write home about. The bite stopped pretty much when the sun went out of sight.

I figured I would get out before the snow put the big chill on everything. Glad I did.
