Hello Fellow fisherman. Noticed the postings here are devoid of activity and with the somewhat warming weather I'm sure many of you are in full anticipation of saltwater fishing this year!

Anyway, not sure how many of you do this, but I always keep a fishing rod with a box of small lures in my car - comes in real handy when I have a little spare time to hit a pond or two during the winter doldrums.

Fished an unknown pond near me sometime last week when the weather had warmed. I had on occasion fished this pond before but only caught 1 smallish 6" bass the two previous times I had fished it each time about 20 minutes.

This trip, had 30 min to spare. Fished one area for about 15 min, again only landing 1 smallish bass. Fished another area with no luck. Was almost ready to give up and caught a largish bass on my last cast ... around 10 - 11". Decided to keep casting and then caught 3 more bass (all around 6-8") in the next few minutes.

Until ... a dog (walking his owner) decided to jump into the water exactly where I was casting. Laughed (goodheartedly) then called it quits.
