Went to the pier by the Armory the other day. One keeper fluke and 16 searobins. Nothing else. No bluefish, bunker, or stripers. Only two other people fishing which were catching and killing all the searobins before they released them. Its terrible to see fish purposely killed even though searobin is usually a "garbage" fish it is still a food source for other fluke and others etc. I wish there were a game warden there to stop it.
Most here agree with you............that it is pathetic to kill something for no reason and as you said, everything has a function in the big picture of the eco system.
where are the dam bunker. the fishslayer cant find de bunker im in jersey city theres none by libery park . just cant find any splash here a splash there .
actually sea robbin is a pretty good tasting fish. Ide prefer it any day to blue fish. in any event killing anything just for the heck of it is just sensless.
